An antique sterling Hindu tribal silver prayer box amulet pendant. The pendant contains a Brahmin blessing scroll, and is still worn in rural villages today for protection, wealth and beauty. In Colonial times the Indian locals would often smelt British sterling silver coins to make traditional jewelry pieces.
